It is hard to believe some times that it has already been close to three years since I dove into Second Life, and began my journey as a blogger. I got this challenge from someone who I have learned a lot from when it comes to blogging and picture-taking… that is none other than Strawberry Singh, and you can find her challenge here. It’s so easy to do and only a few steps. Firstly, find the picture from your first blog post and if you can’t find it you can always use a different newbie picture instead. Secondly, create a side by side picture of the newbie shot and a current shot and BAM! You have your First and Recent Challenge.

I had always had a passion for photography and fashion. Second Life became a place where I could express myself. My first post was created on June 16, 2013 (Click here to view) and I have to admit I was SO nervous! Looking at all the blogs that had already been established for some time, along with other people’s’ creativity only served to push me harder to improve my craft. Looking back not only can I see my growth in photography, as my pictures are a lot more clear than when I started, but also because of the enhancements and changes in Second Life itself.

With all the mesh products out now, in my opinion it is crazy how much a lot of people are beginning to look-alike. It makes me want to ask the question of… Are we losing our individuality with all the mesh heads coming out? Sure, people’s’ skins are different and even the color of their eyes. BUT, people’s’ facial structures, smiles, and expressions are all the same. It’s kept me from diving into the mesh trend but I may play around with a head or two for blogging purposes.

I’m so happy I joined Second Life three years ago, because it has helped me to perfect my craft, it has allowed me to express myself, and it has challenged me to get out of my box and comfort zone to speak to individuals.
